Brigham Parish Council were given ownership of Brigham Play Park in 2012 by a group of volunteers.
Almost 30% of our precept is spent maintaining the equipment. We do not own the field or the path up to the School Field.
We have a list of maintenance issues which are being dealt with. This is the plan from our meeting held on the 16th January 2024.
Outstanding Issues and actions
Actions for Cllrs
Edges of wet pour – fill holes with builders’ sand to prevent weed growth
External edging – request grass cutting in school field includes up to the playpark edge
New white paint on gates – Cllrs to paint top of gates white to assist those with poor sight.
Weeds – already a twice-yearly programme in place to remove weeds, this should be improved once holes are filled and grass from school field cut closer to the playpark edges.
Actions for paid repair
1 broken gate closure system – unsure of how this can be remedied, continued discussion required.
Broken centre attachment on slide equipment – attempt to repair or fill hole with protective foam.
Broken rope on slide equipment- attempt to reattach, if unable to remove metal end
