Grass cutting

This page will explain what areas of grass we currently cut. The only land we own is just is part of what is called The Village Green and the land which encloses the play park.

We have stopped cutting Broughton Recreational Area due to the unsafe access. 

Ellerbeck Green

This is the only piece of land the Parish Council own. 

The area shaded in dark green is classed as a Village Green. The rest of the area is classed as Common Land.

Allerdale used to cut the Village Green and Common Land until approx 2015 and said they would continue to cut it if we paid them £600 a year.
